You can now enjoy a free rental of a 4x6ft. picnic mat from the Cohon Center Info Desk between 8 a.m. and 11 p.m. (just leave your ID card). Enjoy your lunch outside, read a book, or just take a break on us. Part of our new BeWell@CMU Series. We hope to expand the program so that you can borrow a picnic mat from every residential info desk.

Practicing mindfulness offers us the opportunity to stay present in the moment, with openness, curiosity, non-judgment, and acceptance. You can practice mindfulness when you are walking to class, driving to work, eating lunch or brushing your teeth–there is opportunity to practice everywhere you look. Research on the benefits of mindfulness include:

- Increases focus, attention, and concentration.
- Enhances sense of well-being and quality of sleep.
- Increases ability to manage stress and anxiety.
- Builds resiliency.
