Practicing mindfulness offers us the opportunity to stay present in the moment, with openness, curiosity, non-judgment, and acceptance. You can practice mindfulness when you are walking to class, driving to work, eating lunch or brushing your teeth—there is opportunity to practice everywhere you look. Research on the benefits of mindfulness include:
- Increases focus, attention, and concentration.
- Enhances sense of well-being and quality of sleep.
- Increases ability to manage stress and anxiety.
- Builds resiliency.
