The Pittsburgh Schweitzer Fellows Program promotes health and environmental justice by developing leaders in service who embody the legacy of Albert Schweitzer. By directly addressing health and human service needs of disadvantaged citizens in the southwest Pennsylvania region, the Schweitzer Fellows set an example that influences and inspires others. Each year, the Program accepts up to 25 graduate or professional students from any discipline who are interested in providing community-based service. Fellows design a direct service project that they implement through a community agency while they remain in graduate school. Traditional Fellows receive a $2,000 stipend for 200 hours of service; Environmental Fellows receive a $3,000 stipend for 300 hours of service. Application Deadline is February 9, 2018.

Come to our information session to learn more.

All graduate students (part-time or full-time) still in school March 2019 are eligible to apply.

Register for the Info Session in advance on Handshake.
