Equitable Development Talk with Ivette Mongalo-Winston of MonWin Consulting

This session will focus on equitable development policy efforts throughout the city, and how we can better connect residents to safe, quality housing, and to economic opportunity. Ivette will focus on the evolution of these efforts, the current coalition working to advance policy, and the projected outcomes for 2019. Ivette will also touch on her professional evolution starting with an architectural education and transitioning into a multi-disciplinary consulting practice.

Ivette Mongalo-Winston is the founder of a multi-disciplinary woman-owned consulting practice in Pittsburgh, PA. She works to improve communities by collaborating with residents, community organizations, public and private agencies, and design professionals to bridge the gap between design, public engagement, planning and implementation. Trained as an architect and urban designer, with over 18 years of experience on projects across the country, her practice is rooted in the belief of the integrity of public process, and the desire to make the communities she works in a better place to live for all. She uses her experience in urban design, facilitation and planning to help people understand each other and move forward together towards progress. She is currently managing the implementation of All-In-Pittsburgh, a locally led initiative to advance equitable development that is supported by PolicyLink and a coalition of local organizations.
