Abstract:
Networked medical devices offer a broad array of potential benefits for patient care including new treatment options, mobility, and cost savings. Nevertheless, like every other technology, there are risks that come with those benefits as well. Experts have warned of these risk for years and yet the industry is just now beginning to take action to address them. This talk will explore the risks to networked medical devices and the challenges they pose to those trying to understand and manage them.
